27 D.O.T. Tiedown General Information CAPACITY RATINGS: BREAKING STRENGTH CAPACITY — The minimum load a component or assembly will withstand before failure. REMEMBER: All assemblies are only as strong as the weakest component used to make them. WORKING LOAD LIMIT — The maximum load capacity that any given component or assembly should be subjected to during use. D.O.T. Tiedown highly recommends the “working load limit" does not exceed one third (1/3) the “breaking strength capacity" of the component or assembly being used. WORKING LOAD LIMITS SHOWN IN THIS CATALOG ARE RATED AT ONE THIRD OF THE MINIMUM BREAKING STRENGTH. Example: A strap rated at 6,000 lbs. would have a working load limit of 2,000 lbs. RATED LOAD CAPACITY — Ratings are generally established and/or regulated by industry or legislative standards and may vary from industry to industry. IT IS THE OWNER'S AND USER'S RESPONSIBILITY TO DETERMINE SUITABILITY OF A PRODUCT FOR ANY PARTICULAR USE. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ALL APPLICABLE INDUSTRY, TRADE ASSOCIATION, FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL REGULATIONS ARE FOLLOWED. All ratings shown in this catalog are based on new products. All products should be inspected regularly. ANY WORN, DEFORMED, MISUSED OR OVERLOADED PRODUCTS SHOULD BE REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. LIMITED WARRANTY: D.O.T. Tiedown will replace any products that have been determined to be defective in materials or workmanship for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of invoice. During this warranty period (90 days) D.O.T. Tiedown at its option will repair or replace free of charge any product found to be defective in material or workmanship. This warranty does not cover any product that has been subjected to misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration or unauthorized repair. Any product in question must be returned, with an approved R.A.#, to D.O.T. Tiedown for warranty approval. D.O.T. Tiedown will not be held liable for special, incidental or consequential damage or delays directly or indirectly resulting from the sale or use of the defective goods and will make no allowance for repairs or alterations without its written consent. THIS LIMITED WARRANTY IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IN NO EVENT WILL OUR COMPANY BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INDIRECT OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOSSES OF VEHICLE, CARGO OR PROFITS.
